A really thought-ful and -filed post.

That golden rule, though ... it comes with great responsibility. I have had to make one heart-breaking decision (for me, initially) because of it. And the lesson to my child (or the morality of it) will only, likely, realise in 10 to 15 years time.

Glad you want to pass on your posture of ethical citizenship to your children. Surely you will be a good example for your children.
