having free time

it is so nice having some free time finally since the beginning of September. I have a couple groups coming to camp, one today for one night and then a staff retreat over the weekend. but I do not need to do too much for them. I need to get out and get all the ice we had over the weekend cleared off. and then get the buildings heated up.
it will be fun with the staff this weekend. last year for new years we dressed up in tuxes and evening gowns and 9 of us went to a local resort bar. it was incredible. we really made their night.
I am going to do nothing all next week. I am going to finally get out ice fishing. I got a bunch of stuff to try out this year. I am excited. there were 10 people that had to be rescued Monday from the chequamegon bay on lake superior. the wind was incredibly strong and the ice broke up and started to float them out to the open water. I think I am going out there Monday to see if I can catch some big browns.
oh to relax and enjoy is sooooo good.

I saw people on the local pond in the park and I really thought they should not be there- i barely have nay snow left in my yard- it rained and the sun came out- so I do not think the ice is safe

all of the inland lakes have plenty of ice. they will be driving out on them this weekend or sooner.
I am always safe when I go out. there were 8 people that died last year going through the ice on lake superior.
