Blasphemy! Heresy! Someone needs to be burned at the stake for this! Those stupid bastards! Those rotten fucking assholes! How dare they! What the fuck were they thinking ? I want his name! I want to know who is the idiot responsible for waking up one morning and totally violating a great icon! I'm talking about K.I.T.T., Knight Rider's car. Last night NBC aired a new Knight Rider movie. David Hasselfhoff wasn't in it, i can live with that. But what broke my heart and boiled my blood was that they made KITT into a new Ford Mustang Cobra. KITT used to be a Firebird/Trans Am, and as such is among the top 10 most recognizable vehicles in television fiction. Everyone knows and recognizes The Batmobile, The General Lee, The USS Enterprise and KITT. You don't mess with an established Icon like that. I was annoyed when they decided Bumblebee was to be a Camaro in the Transformer's movie instead of the Volkswagen Beetle he used to be. Maybe we should give Starsky and Hutch a corvette instead of their Gran Torino (how come those idiots got to keep the cool car in their remake?) Blame Pontiac. I'm sure Ford really did return the better offer. But Hasselhoff did have a cameo. What I find unholy is Val Kilmer as the voice of KITT. His career has taken a plunge, hasn't it?

I may annoy you now but i can drive for an hour & a half & go & see the real KITT in the Keswick car museum. For a tiny museum it has some cool stuff all owned by a private collector. James Bond's Aston Martin DB5 from 'Goldfinger' is there too, Magnum's Ferrari, A Team Van, Herbie the Love Bug and Gerry Andersons Lady Pennelope's Pink Rolls Fab One. I remember watching a programme about the Roller & Rolls Royce have offered a blank cheque for that car as they want to crush it. They hadnt realised it was to be a real car when they signed the release to model the Pink Roller they thought it was to be a scaled size. Sorry....im in useless info mood. *The Wench*

Maybe they did it to actually give honor to what was already done. Some remakes never make the cut, this way they did not mess with the orignal and bring it down with the sinking ship. They left Kitt and Hasselhoff in tack as the team they were. I realize how you feel. But..... You would not give the lone ranger a new horse. But if you had a new ranger, you might need a new horse. The old horse would not respond to the new rider so well. (just food for thought) Some times things have to change when you are building a new team. As to the transformers..... well it is true the bug was not a very cool car!!! LOL. Hollywood needs sex and beef! The bug did not scream fuck me! Sex sells. Hollywood knows this. Thank God! Anyway, remember it is the small things that end up meaning so much to us, but at the same time, try not to sweat the small stuff.
